Summer is here. Welcome back to the lake! The club hosted the Game Dinner in March, the Easter Egg Hunt in April, the Back to the Lake Bash in May and the Chicken BBQ in June. Thank you to all who attended and made the events a success.
A special thanks goes out to our head chefs Dick Clawson and Pat Burns for the days they put in preparing the countless recipes for the Game Dinner. Thank you to all the members who made donations, assisted with the event and attended. The club relies on the support from members and appreciates the dedication from all of you.
The Easter Egg Hunt was packed with a big surprise! All the kid’s eyes filled with excitement as the Easter Bunny arrived to the club on a Rushford Fire truck! Every child there also received some candy and a small stuffed animal. The stuffed animals were donated by Scott Elder and the whole event was set up by Terry Forward, Jackie Hull, and Jay Zieja.
On May 22, everyone welcomed Bird Swamp Bob and the Four Point Bucks and celebrated the Back to Lake Bash. The annual Chicken BBQ was another success. Thank you to the volunteers who helped out at the event. Thank you to those who showed their support by attending. The club nearly sold out of BBQ’s. Included you will find 2 raffle tickets for our annual Gun Raffle. This is our main fundraiser for the year, so we appreciate all you can do to help us by selling the tickets. Please return the money and the completed ticket stubs as soon as possible. The Gun Raffle is Sept. 25, 2010. If you are unable to sell the tickets, please return them early so others can have a chance to sell them. If you want extra tickets, you can get them at the club bar or call Jack at (585) 437-2072. The ticket prices and prizes are listed on the ticket. All proceeds from the raffle are going into our building fund for new siding and some replacement windows. The siding we presently have was put on during the Harry Truman administration!
